There was a time, not long ago, when solar energy was science fiction. Now it is the fastest growing in the nation of renewable energy. Here’s why things will only promising for the booming industry.
1. Increased capacity
Like most innovative products, the panels that convert sunlight into usable electricity took some time to catch up. In fact, about two-thirds of world capacity was installed in the last four years! The remaining third was initial 40 years to put in place, which means that the industry has grown more in recent years than it has done since its creation. Of particular interest is the incredible growth in the US market in the past two years. Almost 200,000 installations were completed in 2014, up 20 percent from the previous year.
2. Expand Workforce
What all viable industries have in common? They employ people! Until recently, the number of workers who made systems sold or installed solar panels (photovoltaic or PV) was too small to measure. Today, there are about 174,000 solar workers in America, an increase of 53 percent since 2011. This is desperately needed largest dedicated workforce to meet the growing demand for commercial and residential facilities and expert maintenance. At last count, nearly three-quarters of a million homes and businesses in the United States have made the switch to solar energy. Perhaps even more impressive is the fact once a new photovoltaic system is installed every 2.5 minutes in America!
3. The explosion in global markets
Almost all developed countries have invested in solar energy. As mentioned, the US market is growing at a rapid pace, more than 40 percent only in 2014. Other world powers have made important commitments in their push to exploit clean energy. For example, China recently announced that it would triple photovoltaic systems for 2017!
4. Cost reduction
Once considered a luxury that only the wealthy could afford, increased competition has led to a rapid decline in prices of photovoltaic systems. A recent report of the International Renewable Energy Agency found that the cost price of solar equipment fell more than 80 percent since 2009. These costs will decrease even further than the authorization process is simplified, and the increases training facility. We now live in an age when the average American family can make the transition to renewable energy, without worrying about the cost.
5. Finite Resources fuels Infinity Sun
As the price of solar installations lowest energy, solar power is becoming cost competitive as a legitimate alternative to traditional energy sources as coal, nuclear and natural gas. This is because solar energy as a power generation technology is based on the sun instead of fuel. Since traditional lower fuel resources, the drilling costs will increase. With solar, the future is bright and durable!
For these and other reasons, solar energy should be considered as the source of energy in the future.
